Ted Bundy!

For some reason, whenever I think of the word Sunday, I think of Ted Bundy. I’m not entirely sure where I know Ted Bundy from, but when I googled his name, I saw that the link for Ted Bundy’s wikipedia page was Purple, meaning I had visited it before, and I have no idea why! For those that don’t know, Ted Bundy is (was) a serial killer who was sentenced to death and killed via electric chair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Bundy)

Anyway, getting away from ancient serial killers, sunday was a pretty plain day for me, as I spent the majority on Burnout Paradise, and then complaining because it started snowing (AGAIN!) I hate the snow now, it was fun at first when it caused snow days, but on the days that aren’t snow days it makes it a pain to get anywhere and always leads to a snowball in the face :(

Anyway, I shall see you tomorrow, when I’ll talk about Wild at Heart and possibly 24 (if it’s on)!

Ciao

Satmoday!

So, I found a game to play! The game I happened to choose was Burnout Paradise, and I managed to fly through it and got to a Class D license (Methinks), and I intend to continue tomorrow!

The other stuff I did on my saturday was watch The Hangover, and The Matrix! Both amazing films, ensuring hilarity and some dramatic action at the same time :)

Anyhow, back to Burnout Paradise I go.

Friday!

YAYYYYYYYY!

Thank heavens it’s friday! No more working till sunday evening (All that coursework we young’ns leave till the last second :P) and a weekend of fun before that.

I currently have nothing planned for my Saturday apart from the arrival of a new cat, but I’m hoping to find a videogame of some sorts that will quash my endless boredom and allow me to have the fun that I’ve always wanted!  If you have any suggestions as to what game I should play/buy, let me know in the comments below!

I now however have to dash as I’m playing a round of L4D2 with a friend – an epicly fun game that you can play whenever you want, regardless how you feel!

Until tomorrow…

Tursdai!

Thursday

Oh what fun, typical college-ness followed by an absolute boring evening of me trying to get my Performing Arts coursework done! I tell you, it absolutely sucks.

So now I’m making this post uber quickly whilst trying to do my coursework and talk to friends, whilst trying to watch a film! What a multi-tasker I am :)

I should have a better more complex post tomorrow as it’s Friday, the day before the weekend!

See you then

Can’t say much because I’m being chased by a man called Butch,

On the run, not for fun, he’s tracking me down like a stalking clown,

I’ve got to go, I’ve got to remain low,

Thanks for reading anyway!

Ooo aaaaarrrrrrrr.

Yeargh me hearties! Lets go plunder the dubloons from ye great ol’ landlubbers.

Disturbing intros aside, I couldn’t really think of any other way to introduce this post so I let my sheer crazy write it for me, let me know what you think!

I didn’t really get up to much today outside of college, the only major thing I recall doing was making a start on cleaning my bedroom, which I’ve let turn into a tip over the christmas period, therefore it’s due for a good ol’ spring cleaning! Unfortunately, due to the scale of said tip, I wasn’t able to finish it today whilst doing my coursework, listening to music, talking to friends and playing my daily dosage of video games so I’m returning to the task tomorrow, in “The battle against the tip: Revenge of the crawl space”.

Ta-dah.

I can’t believe it!

I just wasted my entire damned evening moving washing machines for a pathetic £10! What a rip >:(

Washing machine A needed to be moved from Location Y to Location Z. So we prepped for the haul by unloading my fathers vehicular transport and put the seats down in the back. We then headed to Location Y where we discovered the washing machine was a pain in the backside to get out. We managed to walk it along the carpet and got it into the back of the car using a trolley thing-a-majig. Upon doing this, we also discovered a rather heavy box of books needed to be moved to Location Z too so we grabbed them.

We then spent the next 30 minutes in transit to Location Z, where we discovered that they didn’t actually have any immediate intention to USE the washing machine, as Washing Machine B was just leaking. So, Captain Handyman (Aka my father) looked into and found the parts that needed replacing, and the Washing Machine A was just ditched in the back garden at Location Z. After this we unloaded the box of books, and then spent the next 30 minutes going home. This may not seem like much, but this took us TWO AND A HALF HOURS, completely wasting my evening, disrupting valuable gaming time! It takes the mick :’(

To cheer myself up, I absorbed myself into funny pictures from teh internet, which are listed below as the Of the Day

Hi!

<Insert long boring paragraph about how I managed to sleep in longer then I wanted to, spend the entire afternoon playing Video games, watching films and TV Programmes on YouTube. Also you may want to include extremely annoying pussy cats, and absolutely anything else you can think of>

Saturday!

So, Saturday was a plain day. Me and my friends decided not to venture out to the Cinema due to marches being held in our local city centre, one by the EDL (English Defence League) and one by the UAF (Unite Against Fascism). If you know anything about these groups, you’ll know they are the exact opposite of other, which makes the equation EDL + UAF = Riot. It wasn’t really a riot, but more of a scramble, with 15 people being arrested and 4 police officers being taken to hospital. The turnout however was massive, with 1,500 people for the EDL, 600 police officers and 300 UAF.  Here is the news article for it from the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/8476873.stm

In other news, the Weekend Deal on Steam this weekend is rather awesome! The “Company of Heroes Complete Pack” has been reduced by 75% so it is now just a low £7.49! I of course snapped this deal up in an attempt to quash my boredom, and the games are downloading as we speak.

Anyhow, I’m off now to go on webcam with a woman that really makes me laugh till I’m near death! She’s made of pure evil =’(   (Only joking)

F-f-f-f-forget it

So, there I was thinking Friday would be awesome. The end of 5 long days of working, and the beginning of the weekend, but this Friday was terrible.

It starts during school, when some pillock thought it’d be a good idea to burn toast, setting the fire alarm off. So, as the building was evacuating, the fire alarm shut off! With every student dazed, we slowly wandered back to our classrooms only to hear ANOTHER fire alarm go off! At this stage, no one knew whether to go out or in, teachers were going left and right, Gigantic Dave was lost in a circle and the head teacher was standing there like a moose. So, we all went back to class and this alarm shut itself off. Fandabbiedosie. (I’m not entirely sure where I got this word from, but I use it frequently when wanting to sound sarcastic :P)

The rest of the day went pretty normal, until I got home, where I was struck with a sheer boredom I have never been struck with before! This boredom stuck with me all night up until the point of this post, and will probably continue afterwards. Luckily I had a good friend on MSN to accompany me during my complete boredom, and for this, I thank you greatly for making me laugh when I didn’t want to! (You know who you are =])

I’m now getting drowsy and tired, but I’m going to stay up for the sake of it.

Thurrrrrrrsssssdayyy

So, here we are. One day left till that weekend we all look forward to. I really think they should make a weekend three days long rather then two, so you can spend the first day recovering from a week of work, then the second day having fun, then the third day recovering from your day of having fun!

Anyway, today was another average day. I spent the majority of the night talking to an awesome friend of mine about nearly everything from TV programmes to family! I’ve only known them for 4 days and we’ve discussed nearly everything. You, m’lady, are awesome =D

See you all tomorrow

Just a quick post, nothing major as I’m in a dash!

Today was pretty simple, one of my lessons was cancelled giving me an extra free, but it was the most boring free period ever. New episode of Scrubs today, which was pretty hilarious, feel free to find it online at a site I’ve linked you previously :D

Twosday!

So, this tuesday was the same as any other tuesday. I woke up late, rushed myself off to college, had a driving lesson, came home, watched another double bill of 24, then cracked down on some urgent coursework that was over the deadline!

Today’s post is short because I don’t really have much to talk about! So, I shall spam it with ‘Of the Day’ instead. As I lacked content in this post, I shall give you THREE of the days! :O

24/Wild at Heart

So, when it comes to TV programmes, I’m weird. If it’s a show only being broadcast in America, I’ll find a way to watch it online. This means I watch it the day after it aired in America. But recently, I’ve found myself doing the same for British shows. Rather then go to the TV when it wants me to watch the show, I just wait for it to come online, then watch it when I want to watch it! I are genius I tell you.

As the title shows, I got round to watching the epic 24 double bill and Wild at Heart today, which were all just completely awesome. So awesome, that they’ve made me postpone this post till now (10:25PM!). Therefore, I can’t really add much more material as I’m tired, but I’ll do a simple of the day :D

Sunday!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES

The end of the weekend! It not good!

Tomorrow be the dreaded college, something which everyone fears, yet they’re there voluntarily, like me!

On the plus side, I went to see Avatar today (in 3D of course!) and it was rather awesome! I do admit that the story doesn’t really advance much, but the special effects are just epicly blinding.

Now I have to dash – things to do, people to see, so on, so forth.

Kill or be Killed

So, I spent the entire day around my sisters house, helping her pack as she is moving to a new house! Unfortunately, for the majority of the day, we were locked in a constant battle to see who could kill the other one. My weapon was laughter, hers was bad/rude jokes, and attempting to tickle me to death.

We were locked in this constant battle all day, but I think it’s safe enough to say that I won, because I got her to the stage that I just had to say the word “Laugh” and she would start! ^_^

It’s FRIDAY!

Finally! That one day of the week we all crave, the precious Friday! Spent the night talking to friends and catching up on some video games I had missed time playing! One worth a mention is Zero Gear, which is currently on a free weekend on the gaming client Steam. Feel free to head over there and take advantage of this weekend! It’s basically like Mario Kart, but more fun, and on the PC :D

So, this leads to the Of The day, which is obviously Game of the day, Zero Gear!

Thursday – One day to go!

So, today was fun…not.

School was typical and boring, like usual. I’ve recently had a bout of tiredness, and laziness, especially with coursework deadlines due and so on so forth. However, I shall keep posting every day!

There shall be no of the day today due to me being too tired, I do apologise!

See you all tomorrow though =)

Wednesday, 13 January 2010

Wed-what?

So, today I decided I would go to KENYA!

I know, that seems massively random, but let me explain. Our school is twinned with a school in Kenya, and once a year, a group from our school visits said school in Kenya for a week, and they come to ours. So, I decided I would volunteer to go on said trip. Other then this, this Wednesday was pretty boring.

I will survive!

So, today was the grand showing of the beginning of Survivors Series 2, something which I’ve been waiting for for a looooong time :D And, as per expected, it was awesome, but I fear an overuse of special effects made it a bit tacky, but none the less, I enjoyed it!

Whilst I was watching said show, I buckled down on my media studies coursework, in which I have to create a music magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. During this time, I was able to create the beauty you see below:

The of the day is:

Worth it

So today was another stunningly boring day at college, nothing new happened, just the same old malarky. So, as you can tell, there was no snow day, and as I type this, I believe sleet is coming down outside, as well as a rapid increase in temperature.

After ye olde college I went for an epic 2-hour driving lesson, in which I managed to half-ass reverse a car around a corner (something which should never have to be done by any human being EVER), and finally overcome my fears that the oncoming traffic isn’t going to crash into me – they’re just mad and act like it.

Unfortunately this blog post is the last thing I’m doing today, as I feel rather unwell, so, I am retiring to the bed, in hopes to get a good nights rest before my A-Level ICT exam tomorrow morning *yay*.

The of the day to day is:

Catchphrase of the day: “Stay fresh, cheese bags!” as recently quoted from Ashens’ latest video on YouTube.

Sunday, 10 January 2010

Slow day

So, today was like any other sunday, slow, lazy, no effort required. I managed to complete The Ballad of Gay Tony, something which I’m proud of, and had some frolicking good fun with a friend on Pirate Ship Wars.

My hopes now are that it is going to snow heavily with a good covering, to prevent those thieves that rob time (schools) from opening. We’re forecast a light snow coverage all through the night, so lets hope the weather forecasters aren’t wrong for once!

Today’s "Of the day” is

Saturday, 9 January 2010

Etc.

So, today was a pretty basic Saturday. Woke up later then I wanted to, started playing through The Ballad of Gay Tony (that I borrowed from a friend!) and so far it’s been pretty damned epic. I must say though, I’m not one for the abnormal colour scheme, I feel it distracts one from the violent content of the game, and puts you in a happy place (yes, I do realise that this emphasises on the ‘Gay’ part of the title, but still!)

After this I went on an epic travel to the local Cinema to see Sherlock Holmes, which was an alright film, but was a rather big let down from what I was expecting!

The Of the Day today is:

Game of the day – The Ballad of Gay Tony. The reason being is I’ve just done a mission where you blow up a crane, train and a plane with sticky bombs, the sort of high-paced action missions you expect from any GTA game.

See you all tomorrow! :D

Got swamped with work so this is JUST pushing it for time! :D

Thursday, 7 January 2010

Crikey!

I got so wrapped up in doing my ICT coursework and creating a video of me dancing that I completely forgot to post my of the day!

So, in a last minute rush, I went out and found this, just for you guys ;D

Video of the day, again! Because I’m a YouTube-aholic! ;D

By popular demand

So, unfortunately today wasn’t a third snow day, and I had to drag myself out of bed and off to “school” (It’s a college!). During the day my friend, who will be referred to as Miss Laugh-a-lot, informed me of a dire situation with one of my other friends, who is suffering from an ‘in-grown penis’. Regardless how weird this sounds, I assure you this is true!*

That aside, as soon as I returned home, I was quizzed by one of my readers as to why today’s post was not up! So, here it is. I’ve decided not to do a debate today, as doing one a day will slowly wear the idea out, and people will get bored of seeing the same thing over and over again :D

In other news, my quest for a bag of salted peanuts has finally been completed due to one loving brother who hand delivered them to my bedroom door, how touching. You may find it odd, that out of all the things I could want is a bag of roasted salted peanuts, but they are merely something to nibble upon when peckish!

So, there’s the basic run through of my day, and now to move onto the concerning news. One of my friends decided it would be a funny idea to see how famous he could get me – for no reason! So, he started his quest by creating a Facebook group at this link http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&ref=nf&gid=271733356468 at the time of posting the group has 107 members and still rising, trying to get myself famous for no reason. I’m yet to join the group myself, as I believe that would seem rather big headed, cocky and selfish, so I’m sitting back and enjoying the rise to fame :P

The “Of the day” will be posted later tonight.

Ciao.

*This is a fabrication of the truth, and I had what is effectively a gun held to my head forcing me to write said line, I apologise for any distress it causes to my readers.

We came, we saw, we kicked its ass

I figured today I would do one bumper post today, to knock me up to 12 posts over 6 days, which is a perfect number for me.

So, today started like any other day, except for the fact it’s ANOTHER snow day! You may say I’m getting over-excited, but my school is legendary for not closing in rain, sleet or snow. Over the three and a bit years I’ve been there it only closed once, and then this year it closes twice in a row? It’s truly a memorable event. As you’ll know from yesterday, I spent a rather long time clearing my garden path, which has now been covered again (thanks snow! >:(), so it’s on my list to do today. Along with this, is to finish tidying my room, which looks like some scene from an earthquake movie.

Swiftly moving on, it appears I’ve managed to cause a debate a day with a news article that I reference to, so I figured why not continue it. Today’s article is some American news!
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/990188/boy-in-church-hurt-by-stray-bullet

There isn’t really much to say over this news item, other then the legalisation of weapons. In the UK, all weapons are strictly prohibited, apart from shotguns which can be obtained by going through a lengthy licensing process, and several inspections to ensure you have a place to keep the weapon and ammo safely, and then you actually have to find someone to sell you a shotgun. I believe that weapons should be legalised (with Permits obviously), so that people can have more self defence, or even a new hobby. Yes, you could say the murder rate by weapons will increase, but I believe self defence is a bigger priority then counter-acting murder.

And now to finish off my bumper post, we have the ‘Of the Day’
This is a ‘Song of the day’, but I don’t want to post the MP3, so it comes in the form of video (The song came before the video, obviously :D)

Until next time, I’m a mad rambler, signing off.

Tuesday, 5 January 2010

Of the day – and other miscellaneous randomness.

Thankfully I remembered that I need to do an ‘of the day’, so, here it is!

The ‘Of the Day’ today is *insert drum roll here*

Picture of the day!

I thought that was rather fitting for my next debate, which happens to beee….Maths.

Now, all of those who have gone through, or are going through, the standard UK Education system, you know what a torture maths can sometimes be. My debate today happens to be things like Algebra. To be honest, unless you’re going to be some sort of uber scientist or an engineer of somewhat, you don’t really need to KNOW algebra. I mean, look at me, it’s been over 6 months since my last maths lesson, and I haven’t done anything more complex then a percentage.

So, this leads me to the main point, is should our education system be changed? I believe more fitting choices could be made for the required learning, and then advanced stages could be applied to those who actually want them.

That is all, for now….

See you tomorrow, hopefully…. (Weather permitting :D)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Oh yes, let it snow indeed. Today was one of those legendary days of the year that teachers and students alike look forward to, the chance to have that extra day off, and this one has come at the best of times, a Tuesday, giving us a mid-week break before going back to school again. Admittingly yes, a Wednesday would be better, but you take what you can get and make the best out of it :P

Eep

Unfortunately my day did not go so splendidly, as I had no school to show up to, I was left wandering around at home, nothing planned, no work, no chores, nothing. Unfortunately, my parents took advantage of this and quickly lined up a list of tasks for me to complete. The first one of those was clearing the snowy filled path, which I thought seemed like a relatively easy task. After seeing how much snow was actually on the path, I made a quick sarcastic laugh then was forced to march on, clearing all the snow from the path. A picture of my work can be seen below.

The next task is clearing my legendary stack of paperwork that has built up in my bag, then after that it’s time for a good spring cleaning in my room. Damn you snow, damn you.

Eight post fourth day!

So, this is a memorable moment, eight post fourth day, so I’ve currently posted twice the amount of posts I should’ve! Ah well, more posts is better then not enough posts :P

I figured I would frequently give my opinion into a new article or a game, film, or some other media source. Even though you may not care about my opinion, I created this blog so I could ramble on and on, and then in one year look back and realize how mad I may be.

Now, the topic I’ve decided to discuss today is a rather old one of no importance, but to me it serves purpose. The Death Sentence. Now, I completely agree that some forms of the death sentence should’ve been abolished, like beheading and hanging, because they were a rather cruel way to go out. But, I believe we should’ve kept the lethal injection!

Why you may say in total madness? If someone came and raped and murdered your entire family, like most Hollywood movie stars, you would want to seek revenge and kill them. So, if we had the lethal injection, said criminal would serve their last years in prison, AND get killed? To me, it sounds like the sweetest deal you could ask for if they’ve just gone pillage the villager on you.

(On a completely unrelated note, that '”if they’ve just gone pillage the villager on you” is by far the most creative line I’ve come up with this year. I must say, I’m rather proud of it)

So on so Fourth.

So, here we have, the first fourth of the year, and also the first Monday of the year. I don’t know about yours, but mine was near terrible. It started with the news that one of my best friends wouldn’t be at school (It’s a sixth form college, more commonly known as ‘school’ because it’s built into the high school I previously attended!), leaving me stranded without someone to communicate with for two out of my four lessons. To add to the boring-ness, my driving lesson after school was cancelled due to my instructor being stuck in the snow, meaning I would have to walk home. Fandabbiedosie.

Aside from all these downsides, I still had fun in my other two lessons, which were Performing Arts and ICT. In Performing Arts I revised my role as Lord Tom William Alexander Thompson, or Lord T.W.A.T for short :). And for ICT, we did a simple mock exam in preparation for the real exam next week. Then of course there was the catching up with old friends and what was missed out on over the Christmas period, which turned out to be…nothing.

So, without further ado, the ‘Of a day’ today is another video, but I think suits my overall feeling towards Mondays…

See you all tomorrow! You can follow my ‘updates on the go’ on Twitter to the right :D

Of the day!

Here’s my ‘Of the Day’ for the 3rd of January! Today is:

Video of the day!

For this, I picked the trailer for Salt, the new film starting Angelina Jolie, because I think it looks amazing :D

3rd January

So, I figured I would start off posting today with dipping into the news. I've picked an article, and it can be found by following the link below:

The article is about the installation of Full-body scanners at airports, that take a picture/x-ray of a person, and any objects hidden under the clothes can be seen. This has caused a lot of controversy, as the x-ray of the person is naked, and you don't know who could be looking at the photo, as the person looking at it is in a different room.

Now, onto my opinion. Would you rather these machines not be installed and your plane has a higher chance of being part of a terrorist attack? Would you like to take the risk of never seeing your loved ones ever again? Apparently people do because they're protesting these scanners heavily, despite the fact it could save their lives. The main objection is that the x-ray technically shows the person naked, but doesn't ANY x-ray? Sure, it may be your wrist or your leg and not your entire body, but it's the same principle. And why would you really fear that you don't know what the person could be doing whilst looking at your photo? They're instantly destroyed after being looked at, and I should imagine it is some kind of automated program that does so. The person examining the photo never looks at you yourself, so if you really think they're going to get 'freaky-deaky' over some weirdly coloured photo, then you yourself must be extremely disturbed.

Helloooo

Considering I'm trying to do one post per day, I think I'm doing pretty good for having a third post in one day :P

I was browsing the internet, as I do, and I was struck by the genius idea to do an 'of the day' on every post.

Now, the 'of the day' can vary from Video of the day, word of the day, picture of the day, phrase of the day and so on.

So, without further ado, the first 'of the day' is the following!

Word of the day: Paraskavedekatriaphobia, which is the fear of Friday the 13th!

A little extra

As a little extra for today, I decided I would post about a movie I watched today, called Dawn of the Dead.

Now of course, it was the modern version, as I'm too cool for the old ones (=D), and I figured I would exploit some obvious problems with this film. I remember the end of the film better then I do the start, so the first (SPOILERS AHEAD)

thing I'm going to mention is the two minibuses that you see at the end. These are used as 'armoured vehicles' to get from the mall to the dock. The main thing I'd like to draw your attention to is the second one, which is driven by Kenneth (played by Ving Rhames), and as you'll know if you've seen the film, as they enter a hard left turn, it spins over and crashes. Now, I personally would blame this on the driver, as it's clearly his fault. Unfortunately, the characters in this film don't seem to take this the same way, as they let Kenneth drive the OTHER armoured vehicle after he had crashed the first one! And what do you know, he goes on to crash the SECOND one into the pier at the Marina, trapping and eventually killing the oh so wonderful CJ.

The next thing I'm going to mention is their getaway to an island, obviously they've all been to the gun store and got plenty of ammo, so surely at the first island they arrive at, they would have enough ammo to fend off any attackers? And, who would be stupid enough to send all of them onto the island, just 'assuming' it would be safe, without any form of a backup plan? I for one would've moored off the coast slightly, and try to create an awful lot of noise in order to lure the zombies out, so you could see how bad the infection was.

The third point I'm going to make is the oh so wonderful twit that is Steve. As you'll know if you've seen the film, he ends up betraying the main characters by not staying behind to hold the maintenance access door open, for those returning from the gun store. Upon their return, they find Steve enjoying himself by the recently armoured vehicles, and CJ exclaims that he'll deal with him later. Where was this deal? To be perfectly honest, I would've expected CJ's character to be the type that would've shot or maimed Steve as soon as he found him, not just shout threats.

That's all for now folks!

Day two! :P

So, as the 2nd of January draws to a close, I figured it was time for another post!

As a start to a new year, this is by far the most memorable! One of the biggest snowfalls I've seen, and my cat getting up to his unusual adventures...again (See the TwitPic feed to the right!)

Among the cats adventures, I had my own adventures to the local high street, amongst all the snow and ice (Didn't fall over!)

See you tomorrow....hopefully.

Happy new year - Welcome 2010!

So, welcome to my blog.

I decided as a new years resolution, I would create a blog, and post to it every single day for the rest of 2010, and see how many followers I can get! Mad? Maybe, but I'm going for it anyway.

This blog will track my daily life, any announcements I have to make, so on, so forth. So, sit down, relax, and enjoy the ride of watching a teenager rabble on about his life.
